He holds a graduate degree in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur and Master of Engineering in NATM Engineering- Construction, Rehabilitation and Operation of NATM- and TBM-Tunnels from the TU Graz and the Montanuniversität Leoben.
